The release of Jakarta EE 12 is finally approaching!
This update includes significant enhancements around databases (Jakarta Data / NoSQL / Query) and the long-awaited "Jakarta MVC," which was proposed more than 10 years ago, will finally become an official standard specification. These are important updates with the potential to greatly innovate Web application development methods.
In this seminar, we will invite experts active on the front lines to provide a thorough explanation so that you can quickly catch up on these powerful new features!
Everyone is welcome, from those who are wondering "What happened after Java EE?" or "I want to know the latest trends in modern server-side Java," to those who are regularly involved with Jakarta EE. This time, it will be held in person at the venue, so please feel free to join us!
Also, thanks to the generosity of Red Hat, the venue provider, we will be able to prepare light refreshments this time. Please enjoy them while you eat and drink.

In Jakarta EE 12, data access specifications have evolved significantly, enabling a more modern and sophisticated approach. This session will focus on three specifications that will form the foundation of data access in the new era: "Jakarta Data," "Jakarta NoSQL," and "Jakarta Query." We will explain how these will cooperate and change our code in modern development where RDBs and NoSQL coexist. (We will also briefly touch on Jakarta Persistence within the overall picture.)

Jakarta MVC is an "action-based" Web framework that was previously absent from Jakarta EE. In fact, the prototype of Jakarta MVC existed when the Java EE 8 plan began in 2015. More than 10 years later, it has finally been officially included in Jakarta EE. In this session, we will discuss its historical background, basic features of Jakarta MVC, and its JAX-RS-based architecture.
